So, God hears prayers!
CT scans from yesterday came back good. No concerning spots for metastasis in the lungs.
Surgery had a cancellation for Tuesday and the doctor grabbed the spot with me in mind. Nurse called to make sure it wasn’t too fast for us. Of course not!! We were looking at 4-6 weeks for surgery before this spot opened up. While I’ve probably never been more scared in my life, let’s get this surgery done and over with!
So on Tuesday I have to be at the hospital at 9 am for all the paperwork and other pre-surgery stuff. Hopefully they can complete surgery robotically with no issues. If so, I’ll be able to go home as early as Wednesday. If they have to intervene for any reason and open me up more it’s 5-7 days in hospital and a lot longer recovery time.
After recuperating for several weeks I will then start with some kind of a therapy. Probably a combination of the chemo pill that targets specific cancer cells along with immunotherapy. Surgery is just the beginning, from my understanding.

Tuesday – Wow! that’s fast. Prayers are being answered. We (me and Ann) will keep praying! Many of our Church friends, too.
I will keep you and the family in my prayers! Things sound cautiously optimistic. That’s a good start!
