I write this blog for a few different reasons.
First, as a way to keep family members and friends updated as to how my journey into the cancer treatment realm is going. I suspect this will be the majority of followers, at least at first. I’m not any great wordsmith and website/blog design is not any kind of a great passion of mine, so it will probably be those that care that read my missives at first. lol.
Second, as a way to just write down my feelings each day. More or less as a journal of sorts. If I did videos I guess it would be called a vlog. For those that are old school the correct terminology is a blog lol. If you do any kind of reading on mental health, writing down how your day went, what your thankful for, or just how you’re feeling helps tremendously in any recovery process and your day to day mindset. If you have a hard time understanding why I make it for public consumption, I’ll address that below.
The third reason I write this blog is to share my thoughts and beliefs as a Christian and encourage others. Not as a Stereotypical Christian that judges others and how they live, or the Christian’s that go to church on Sundays and forget the teachings of God the rest of the week, but as a flawed Christian that struggles everyday to live and work out my salvation. God directs each of our paths with him, when we let him. It is up to us to follow His plan for our lives, whatever that may be and whatever struggles we may have to go through for His glory.
For many people it is hard to understand why someone would open their life up to the world on the internet. Sure, it’s easy to see that most social media influencers only do it for fame or fortune, but that is not my goal. In fact, if I never make a penny from what I write or gain any kind of fame, or notoriety, I don’t really care.
My belief is that all of the struggles we go through in life is the result of a lesson that we are to learn and share with others that may come after us. In some cases even those that are older and come before us. In leading small groups, speaking in front of others, or just is one on one conversations I have had many people thank me for sharing my experiences. Often these very same people tell me that they are going through that very issue I shared and it helped them to understand their own walk through the struggle. Knowing that you’ve helped someone to get through their own struggle is a bigger and better blessing in life than any monetary or reputation gain you may have.

We know He has a plan for all of us, we may not know what it is but we will stand on His Word. He will never leave us for He sent HS to be our Comforter. We will continue to give Him the glory and we know what you share will inspire others as they face trials of their own. God bless you! In Jesus name!
As you face surgery today know that Jesus is right there with you. His hands will direct the doctor’s hands. Know that you are in the hands of your heavenly Father who cares for you and loves you more than anyone on this earth, including me. I know your faith is strong. God be with today and always.
